The Music of CHOPIN 2

In a follow-up to a presentation titled ‘The Music of Chopin’ whichDuigan has performed in over 40 performances nationally and recorded on CD,  Christopher Duigan turns his hand to a new selection of the Franco-Polish composer’s piano-dominated output.  Included are rustic Polish mazurkas, glittering French waltzes, rhapsodic tales as set alight in Ballade and Barcarolle and a set of spell-binding piano etudes.  This new selection is debuted at the Marriott FranschhoekClassic Music Festival and sets to continue the unique exploration and presentation of Chopin’s music that Duigan has maintained over the last 20 years.  Christopher Duigan is a Steinway Artist.

Christopher Duigan plays a new selection of music by Frederic Chopin including nocturnes, etudes, waltzes, the Barcarolle Op 60 and Scherzo No 2.  This follows on the first programme which Duigan played in over 30 performances nationally  in 2016 and 2017.
